I dun gone and made me some art

Made these Legend of Zelda crossstitches for the boyfriend for a Christmas gift. Even though he knew I was making them, and I showed them to him, lol. I’m hoping to make a couple more in time for Valentine’s and sell them off at work.

These cards were made for my boyfriend’s parents and grandparents.  I didn’t have any idea of what to get them for gifts and therefore ended up with nothing for them.  So I guess the least I could do is make them some cards.

Walk Hard

walk_hard_poster.jpg I got to see a prescreening of Walk Hard tonight, and I would definitely recommend giving it a watch. It’s not like the last few Judd Apatow films really, with the sweet story-line topped with outrageously vulgar comedy. But more like a Will Ferrell film, with the right amount of ridiculousness (though still laced with some outrageously vulgar bits) to pace your laughs. I would say it’s nearing the ridiculousness of Anchorman, but not quite that far.

Material World

I’m excited because my Restoration Hardware hand towels arrived yesterday.  I’m still waiting for the bath towels.  I’m not even planning on using these until I move out.  Silly to be excited over towels.

Last night we went to Hy’s Encore Steakhouse.  A fairly high-end restaurant.  My bill came to $75 after everything.  But the steak was the softest I’ve ever had.  I could’ve probably have done without the sauce though.  The caesar salad was quite tasty, although maybe too much dressing.  The frozen yogourt with berries was a nice closer.  They also did iced tea the American way, where you have to add your own sugar.

I however gave $4 on a bum outside ’cause the parking lot we parked in closed at 10pm and it was already 11:30pm.  He said he’d bring us to the security guy for the mall who’d let us in.  But my boyfriend said that he saw a sign saying to go to the building anyway if you were locked out.  Lousy bum.  He was very pushy about it all too, just constantly yapping about how everyone knows who he is and he watches all the cars, but not letting us have a second to even think about the situation and figure it out on our own.
